Get to know Anirudh Ravichander, one of India's biggest stars, who is embarking on a worldwide tour titled "Once Upon A Time", with six major stops in the U.S.A. Anirudh is inarguably one of the most sought-after music composers and directors in the Indian film industry, composing over 150 songs in various languages.

The "Once Upon A Time" Tour celebrates 10 years of creating music for various projects, including major motion pictures, television shows, short films, web series, and theme songs for global brands like Sprite. Anirudh has won three Filmfare Awards, nine SIIMA Awards, six Edison Awards and five Vijay Awards. His debut song "Why This Kolaveri Di", composed for the 2012 film 3, went viral across the globe and has achieved over 300 million views on YouTube. 1. What was your first experience with music
   1. I was a part of a band playing at weddings
2. Who are your musical influences?
   1. I took up playing the piano because of Yanni and back home in India, of course I grew up to A.R. Rahman.
3. Who would you most like to collaborate with?
   1. This keeps changing from time to time. But as of this moment, Drake.
4. What can fans expect from your upcoming live show Once Upon A Tour?
   1. A crazy time. That’s our motto. Let's go crazy, together!
5. What is the best thing about being a film composer?
   1. The diversity of Indian film music makes you learn different styles and genres.
6. When is your favorite time of day to create?
   1. 3 am. I generally work after sunset and I always feel around 3 am is when I’m most creative and doing it right.
7. What are your thoughts about performing in America?
   1. I travel to the USA almost every year to inspire myself and meet incredibly talented musicians. This is my first time touring in the U.S. and I am excited to see how the Indian diaspora enjoys our Tamil show.
8. What languages do you speak?
   1. I speak Tamil and English. I can understand Hindi and Telugu to an extent.
9. Do you have a pre-show ritual?
   1. Before every performance I eat a South Indian vegetarian meal.
10. When will your next film, music project be released, what is it?
    1. Jawan starring SRK releasing on June 2nd
